A trip to the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry with my son saw me taking this collection of pictures of exhibits with local connections, either through operations or links to Railway Manufacturers in the Manchester area.

We also had a look round the site of the old Liverpool Road Station of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway which was the Manchester terminus between 1830 and 1844 until operations moved to Manchester Hunts Bank (later Victoria Station).

The following 33 photos were taken at Bury (Bolton Street) station on the East Lancs Railway on Sunday 6th July 2008 on the last day of their Diesel Gala which was held over nine days from Saturday 28th June until Sunday 6th July.

This was the only day I was able to attend due to work commitments.

Only one 'main line' railway photo for this month, which was taken while on a shopping trip with the missus and kids to Altrincham.

This months collection returns to my regular haunt of Manchester Piccadilly Station to commence the months collection, aptly started on 1st April. A couple of the photos have a blue haze on them due to taking photos towards the sun.
