The following three photos were taken of the "Peak Forest Ranger" railtour operated for UK Railtours and utilising two DB Schenker Class 67 loco's, which when photographed passing through Altrincham Station in Greater Manchester were being used top 'n' tail.

The route followed by this railtour is described here;- Starting at Watford Junction, then via Primrose Hill, King's Cross Incline, Finsbury Park, Potters Bar, Stevenage, then via the East Coast Main Line, Retford, Sheffield and the Hope Valley Line through the Peak District National Park. Then using the steeply graded Peak Forest line through Great Rocks, normally used by stone trains, before reaching the spa town of Buxton where a break was taken from 13:14 until 15:30.

The circular tour then continued back via Great Rocks, then onward via Chinley North Junction, Disley Tunnel, Northenden and Skelton Junctions, Altrincham, Northwich, Middlewich and Crewe before finally returning via the West Coast Main Line to Watford Junction, Finsbury Park, Potters Bar and finally Stevenage.

This collection of photos were taken during October 2009, starting with four photos taken at Manchester's Victoria Station, and also two taken at Altrincham on the 4th of the month. The next nine photos were taken whilst at Stockport Station for around an hour on Saturday the 10th of the month.

This collection of train photos were all taken during August 2009, and the now complete collection for this month totals 17 images.

The first location for this month, provided the first six images which were taken whilst attending a transport event held at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry situated at the former Liverpool Road station on the 8th of the month.

The other eleven images were taken during a short visit to Sheffield for a selection of various transport photos, with just under an hour spent at the station here on the afternoon of the 12th.

A small selection of eight images taken on 7th June 2009 whilst on a quick visit to the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry with my son.

This collection of 22 photographs were all taken during the afternoon of Sunday 7th June. All of which were taken at Manchester's Piccadilly Railway Station.

This collection of 67 photos were all taken on April 22nd, in Manchester City Centre. The majority of them were taken at Piccadilly Station while the first five in the collection were taken at the City's other main Rail Station at Victoria.

This collection of 29 photos were taken on Sunday 15th March, at Bury's Bolton Street Station of the East Lancashire Railways Diesel weekend which was held over the saturday and sunday (14th/15th) and which also included a Night Rider event on the Saturday night. Sadly I was only able to attend on the sunday of this event, due to having other commitments which prevented me from visiting on the saturday as well.

This collection which comprises of 19 Images, were taken during the middle of the month. The first eight images were taken on the 14th at Manchester Piccadilly Station. Whilst the other images were taken on the following day (15th) at Preston Station.

This collection of seven images was taken on Sunday 25th January whilst on a day visit by train to London. These are all of exhibits that were on display inside the London Transport Museum at Covent Garden.

This will probably be the only collection I add here from this venue as I didn't think much of the amount of exhibits which were on display, and the entry cost considering what is available at other museum venues.

A selection of photos taken at Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station, mainly of the two locomotives that were used on the BBC West Midlands Kidney Kids Special.

Loco's 86 259 and 47 773 were used top and tail between Manchester Piccadilly and Hadfield Stations. This was the first time a class 86 has been used on the Hadfield line.

This collection of seven images were all taken at Manchester Piccadilly Station whilst I was there taking photos of the BBC West Midlands Kidney Kids special feature a class 86 to Hadfield (see other collection for pics). The photos in this collection are all of multiple units.
