We also had a look round the site of the old Liverpool Road Station of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway which was the Manchester terminus between 1830 and 1844 until operations moved to Manchester Hunts Bank (later Victoria Station). Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways) 1505 'Ariadne'; Formerley British Rail E27001 a Class EM2 (TOPS class 77) electric loco built 1953/54 and used on the 1500V DC Manchester to Sheffield via Woodhead line.
